IMPLEMENTATION OF ISLAMIC EDUCATION MENTORING PROGRAMS IN MUJAHIDIN PONTIANAK HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Abstract


Islamic Education Mentoring is a coaching program that aims to instil the noble values of diversity. The implementation of this activity is a series of programs that prioritize personal and interpersonal skills in a person. Both the mentor as a companion and mentee as participants, in the sense that even if implemented in groups but this program still recognizes and serves the skills that exist in a person (group-based approach).

This paper begins with a study conducted by the author using a qualitative-descriptive approach, even though the design is an applied model. The main objective of this mentoring-related study is to find solutions to specific problems so that through testing the PAI mentoring program it can be seen that theory is sought as a drug that is considered appropriate to overcome these problems and then actually implemented in the field to find factors any factors that support and inhibit it.

The results of the activity show the following points: First, the implementation of the Islamic Religious Education mentoring program in Pontianak Mujahidin High School was carried out through three stages, namely planning, implementation and evaluation. Second, several factors support and hinder the implementation of Islamic Religious Education mentoring programs. These supporting factors include the active role of the Principal, educators and education personnel as well as the involvement of Rohis Pontianak Mujahidin High School. While the inhibiting factors, among others, the lack of time to organize activities, limited resources, and the large amount of financial expenditure from the plan that should make study of these activities experience a budget deficit which results in the mentoring program not optimally as it should be like the implementation of an outbound program or not rihlah tourism or unavailability PAI mentoring module for participants.
