Because of the connection between mathematics and the real world through mathematical models, mathematical modelling may help students in understanding this relationship. In the context-based <em>Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum </em>(AKM) problems, students are asked to solve mathematical problems related to the real world. This study aims to determine the mathematical modelling ability of grade VIII junior high school students in solving AKM problems. The place of research was carried out at SMP Negeri 22 Surabaya. This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data analysis was carried out by drawing conclusions and describing the percentage of students who achieved certain mathematical modeling indicators. The subjects of this study were twenty-six junior high school students in grade VIII. Students were given a test sheet containing AKM problems in the numeracy section that had been adapted to the geometry and measurements content domain. The results showed that in the geometry and measurements content domain, 77% of students are still in the stage of working mathematically. Students are able to make mathematical modelling used to calculate volume using the formula and calculate water volume using debit and time. However, students still have difficulty in interpreting answers and referring the results of answers that have been obtained with mathematical models to the context of everyday life problem situations given in AKM problems in the geometry and measurement content domain. Teachers have an important role in training students to get used to writing answers systematically, so that they are able to provide appropriate solutions when answering the problems given.</p><p> </p><p><span lang="EN-US">Hubungan antara matematika dan penerapan konsep matematika mempengaruhi semua aspek kehidupan sehari-hari. Karena adanya hubungan antara matematika dan dunia nyata melalui model matematika, pemodelan matematika dapat membantu siswa dalam memahami hubungan ini. Dalam soal Asesmen Kompetensi Minimum (AKM) berbasis konteks, siswa diminta untuk menyelesaikan soal matematika yang berkaitan dengan dunia nyata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemodelan matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal AKM. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Analisis data dilakukan dengan penarikan kesimpulan dan mendeskripsikan persentase banyaknya peserta didik yang mencapai indikator pemodelan matematika tertentu. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dua puluh enam siswa SMP kelas VIII. Siswa diberikan lembar tes yang berisi soal AKM pada bagian berhitung yang telah disesuaikan dengan domain konten geometri dan pengukuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada domain konten geometri dan pengukuran, 77% siswa masih dalam tahap bekerja secara matematis. Siswa mampu membuat pemodelan matematika yang digunakan untuk menghitung volume dengan menggunakan rumus dan menghitung volume air dengan menggunakan debit dan waktu. Namun, siswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menginterpretasikan jawaban dan menghubungkan hasil jawaban yang telah diperoleh dengan model matematika dengan konteks situasi masalah kehidupan sehari-hari yang diberikan dalam soal AKM pada domain konten geometri dan pengukuran. The rationale behind this lies in the fact that students are unaccustomed to engaging with mathematical literacy questions, particularly those concerning two-dimensional geometric shapes. Furthermore, the instructional model employed does not yet adhere to a student-centred approach. The study aimed to analyze and determine the effectiveness of case-based learning assisted by math song media on students' mathematical literacy in the material of geometric shapes of cubes and blocks at State MTs Negeri 2 Semarang City. The research method was a mixed method-exploratory sequential design. The population was all students of class VIII MTs Negeri 2 Semarang City. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, with 32 students of class 8th grade B as the sample. The research instruments included observation sheets, questionnaires, interview guides, and mathematical literacy tests. Qualitative data analysis techniques were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion and quantitatively using the normality test, Paired Sample t-test, and N-Gain test. The percentage of students interested in learning was 78.4%, and the teacher's response questionnaire was perfect, 88.9%. The acquisition of the Paired Sample t-test was Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 means 0.000 <0.05 Ha accepted; in conclusion, there is a difference in mathematical literacy's pre-test and post-test averages, increasing from 53.06 to 86.34. The N-Gain test results obtained 0.7 with a percentage of 65.1% in the category of quite effective. Applying this learning, students are involved in learning and trained to analyze the case's problems critically.</span></p><p class="06ContentAbstract"> </p><p class="06ContentAbstract">Hasil PISA 2018 menunjukkan peringkat ke 74 dari 79 negara partisipan. Penyebabnya siswa tidak dibiasakan mengerjakan soal-soal yang berkaitan dengan literasi matematika khususnya pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar dan model pembelajaran yang digunakan belum bersifat <em>student center</em>. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis dan mengetahui keefektifan case-based learning berbantuan media lagu matematika terhadap literasi matematis siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar kubus dan balok di MTs Negeri 2 Kota Semarang. Metode penelitian adalah <em>mixed method-exploratory sequential design</em>. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri 2 Kota Semarang. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah <em>purposive sampling</em> dengan sampel yang digunakan adalah 32 siswa kelas VIII B. Instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar observasi, angket, pedoman wawancara, dan tes literasi matematis. Teknik analisis data kualitatif adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dan kuantitatif menggunakan uji normalitas, Paired Sample t-Test, dan uji N-Gain. Siswa tertarik dengan pembelajaran, persentase 78,4% dan angket respon guru sangat baik, persentase 88,9%. Perolehan Paired Sample t-Test yaitu Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 artinya 0,000 < 0,05 maka diterima, simpulannya ada perbedaan rata-rata pre-test dan post-test literasi matematis meningkat dari 53,06 sampai 86,34. Hasil uji N-Gain diperoleh 0,7 dengan persentase sebesar 65,1% dengan kategori cukup efektif. The aims of this study were: 1) To find out the increase in mathematical literacy skills by applying the <em>Discovery Learning</em> model, 2) To find out the increase in mathematical literacy skills by applying the <em>Inquiry Learning</em> model, 3) To find out whether mathematical literacy skills are increased by the application of the <em>Discovery Learning</em> model rather than <em>Inquiry Learning</em>. This study utilized a quantitative approach. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with two experimental groups in eighth-grade SMPN 1 Bae Kudus. The experimental group I applied the <em>Discovery Learning</em> model and the experimental group II applied the <em>Inquiry Learning</em> model. The data analysis technique used the t-test and the Mann-Whitney U test. The results of this study were: 1) The t-test has given a significance level of 0,00 < 0,05. This means that there was a significant increase in the mathematical literacy skills of students in the experimental group I after the application of the <em>Discovery Learning</em> model with an increase in N-gain of 71%, 2) The t-test has given a significance level of 0,00 < 0,05. This means that there was an increase in the mathematical literacy skills of students in experimental group II after applying the <em>Inquiry Learning</em> model significantly with an increase in N-gain of 60%, 3) The Mann-Whitney U test has given a significance level of 0,048 < 0,05 which indicated that literacy skills students' mathematics was further improved by the application of the <em>Discovery Learning</em> rather than <em>Inquiry Learning </em>model.</p><p> </p><p>Hasil OECD-PISA menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan literasi matematika siswa di Indonesia relatif rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1) Mengetahui peningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika dengan penerapan model <em>Discovery Learning</em>, 2) Mengetahui peningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika dengan penerapan model <em>Inquiry Learning</em>, 3) Mengetahui apakah kemampuan literasi matematika lebih meningkat dengan diterapkannya model <em>Discovery Learning</em> daripada <em>Inquiry Learning</em>. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah <em>sampling purposive</em> dengan dua kelas eksperimen di kelas VIII SMPN 1 Bae Kudus. Kelas eksperimen I diterapkan model <em>Discovery Learning</em> dan kelas eksperimen II diterapkan model <em>Inquiry Learning</em>. Teknik analisis data adalah menggunakan uji-t dan uji Mann-Whitney U. This research was used an ADDIE model, that consist of analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research instrument include of validation sheets, practicality sheets, and tests of mathematical problem solving abilities. This research produced an electronic student worksheets based on probing prompting usng Google Form on social arithmetic material. of seventh-grade students was included in the following criteria: 1) Very valid based on content assessment, construct assessment, language assessment, media assessment; 2) Practical based on 11 aspects of assessment; 3) Effectiveness based on classical learning mastery, namely 90% of students who complete score ≥70 and the results of the N-Gain calculation of problem solving abilities with an average N-Gain of 0.77 are in the high category.</p><p class="06ContentAbstract"> </p><p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan lembar kerja peserta didik berbentuk elektronik dengan metode pembelajaran Probing Prompting menggunakan Google Form materi aritmatika sosial yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan model ADDIE, yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Instrumen penelitian ini terdiri dari lembar validasi, lembar kepraktisan, dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. This research aims to determine the effect of implementing the PjBL model on the ability to understand mathematical concepts and how much students' interest in learning as a response to the application of the PjBL learning model in classVIIby using algebra material atSMPNegeri 36 OKU in the academic year 2022/2023. The research used a quantitative research method with a One Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research population was all members of classVIIstudents. The sample used was only 1 class with a saturated sampling technique where all members of the population were used as samples. The techniques in collecting the data were tests, questionnaires, and observations. The data test analysis technique used the Z-Test, the questionnaire was measured using a Likert scale, and observations were measured using the Guttman scale. From the research results, the z table value = -1.95996398454005 and the calculated z = -5.8488123797208 with a sig of 0.00 < 0.05 where the calculated z < -z table concludes that learning with the PjBL model has an effect on the ability to understand mathematical concepts and The response to students' interest in learning shows that the majority are in a good category. However, it is necessary to adapt to this learning process because this learning model is being used for the first time and several meetings are needed to complete the project.</p><p> </p><p class="06ContentAbstract">Kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis salah satu bagian penting dalam tujuan pembelajaran. Materi yang diberikan bukan semata-mata untuk dihapalkan, tetapi peserta didik harus mengerti agar dapat memahami konsep materi yang dipelajari. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh peserta didik karena mengalami kesulitan dalam membedakan unsur-unsur bentuk aljabar, kesulitan mensubstitusikan persamaan, dan kesulitan dalam operasi hitung bentuk aljabar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dan berapa besar respon minat belajar peserta didik terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran PjBL pada materi bentuk aljabar kelas VII SMP Negeri 36 OKU Tahun 2022/2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan desain <em>One Group Pretest-Posttest</em>. Populasi penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VII. Sampel yang digunakan hanya 1 kelas dengan tehnik <em>sampling jenuh</em> yang mana semua anggota populasi digunakan sebagai sampel. Tehnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, angket, dan observasi. Tehnik analisis data tes menggunakan <em>Uji-Z</em>, angket diukur dengan skala <em>Likert, </em>dan observasi diukur dengan skala <em>Guttman</em>. Dari hasil penelitian nilai –z tabel = -1,95996398454005 dan z hitung = -5,8488123797208 dengan sig 0,00 < 0,05 yang mana z hitung < -z tabel disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan model PjBL<em> </em>berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis dan respon minat belajar peserta didik menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar pada kategori baik. Mathematical communication skills and numeracy literacy can be improved with innovative learning models that can create an active, creative, critical, and independent learning atmosphere, one of them is the SSCS model. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the process of learning mathematics on the material of flat-sided geometric shapes using learning models to improve mathematical communication skills and numeracy literacy. This study adopted a quantitative approach within the framework of field research. The research population was all students of class VIII regular MTs Negeri 1 Kudus, totaling 250 students. Sampling was carried out by cluster random sampling technique and obtained as many as 61 students consisting of the experimental class and the control class. To collect research data, essay test, observations, and documentation were carried out. The results revealed a significant difference in the average value of mathematical communication skills, indicated by a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. Additionally, the experimental class showed a medium interpretation increase of 52% in the normalized gain test, while the control class demonstrated a low interpretation increase of 22%. In numeracy literacy skills, there was also a difference in the average value, indicated by a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05. Additionally, there was an increase in the experimental class in the normalized gain test, with a medium interpretation improvement of 55%, whereas the control class showed a low interpretation increase of 25%. Based on the research data, the experimental class demonstrated a more significant improvement with the SSCS model compared to the control class. This led to the conclusion that applying the SSCS model effectively enhanced both mathematical communication skills and numeracy literacy.</p><p class="06ContentAbstract"> </p><p>Pentingnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan literasi numerasi untuk pembelajaran matematika dalam memahami masalah dan konsep matematis. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan literasi numerasi dapat ditingkatkan dengan inovasi model pembelajaran yang dapat menciptakan suasana belajar aktif, kreatif, kritis, dan mandiri salah satunya menggunakan model SSCS. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas proses pembelajaran matematika pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar menggunakan model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan literasi numerasi. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian field research dengan pendekatakan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII regular MTs Negeri 1 Kudus yang berjumlah 250 siswa. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling diperoleh sebanyak 61 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian dilakukan tes uraian, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Pada kemampuan literasi numerasi juga terdapat perbedaan rata-rata nilai yang ditunjukkan nilai signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05 dan peningkatan kelas eksperimen pada uji gain ternormalisasi sebesar 55% interpretasi sedang dan kelas kontrol 25% interpretasi rendah. Berdasarkan data penelitian tersebut, karena pada kelas eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan lebih baik dengan model SSCS daripada kelas kontrol. Learning media exhibitions through project-based learning (PjBL) enable prospective teachers to interact directly (facilitate discussions)/be engaged authentically, explore critically, be innovative, elaborative, collaborative, and original, and gain challenging cognitive experiences so that their creativity increases. To determine the effectiveness of media exhibitions through PjBL on increasing the creativity of prospective mathematics teachers, a quasi-experimental approach was carried out on students (<em>n=50</em>) in the fifth semester of the 2022/2023 academic year of the IAIN Kudus mathematics education study program taken using cluster random sampling techniques. After applying this model and carrying out a paired t-test, there was a statistically significant difference between the mean of creativity of prospective mathematics teachers before and after implementing the PjBL model and exhibition activity. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of the improvement is 0.48 in the medium category. This means that the learning media exhibition through PjBL is effective in increasing the creativity of prospective teachers. Media exhibition activities through project-based learning can be a valuable and sustainable educational program to foster the creativity of prospective teachers majoring in mathematics education.</p><p> </p><p>Calon guru matematika pada program studi pendidikan matematika IAIN Kudus belum menunjukkan perilaku kreatif yang maksimal dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran. Pameran media pembelajaran melalui pembelajaran berbasis proyek (PjBL) memungkinkan calon guru berinteraksi langsung (memfasilitasi diskusi)/terlibat secara autentik, bereksplorasi secara kritis, inovatif, elaboratif, kolaboratif dan orisinal, serta memperoleh pengalaman kognitif yang menantang sehingga kreativitasnya meningkat. Untuk mengetahui efektivitas pameran media melalui PjBL terhadap peningkatan kreativitas calon guru matematika, dilakukan pendekatan kuasi eksperimen pada siswa (n=50) semester V tahun pelajaran 2022/2023 pendidikan matematika IAIN Kudus program studi yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling. Setelah diterapkan model tersebut dan dilakukan uji t berpasangan, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik antara rata-rata kreativitas calon guru matematika sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model PjBL dan kegiatan pameran. Sedangkan efektivitas peningkatannya sebesar 0,48 dengan kategori sedang. Artinya pameran media pembelajaran melalui PjBL efektif meningkatkan kreativitas calon guru. Conducted at Mesuji Raya State Junior High School, this quasi-experimental study focused on the entire eighth-grade student body. A sample of 42 students was selected via cluster random sampling. Data analysis was performed using the Manova test with a significance level of 5%. The findings indicate a rejection of H0<sub>AB</sub>, suggesting a significant influence of the "Make A Match" learning model on enhancing students' problem-solving and mathematical representation abilities. These findings suggest that the "Make A Match" model can be an effective tool in aiding middle school students to improve their mathematical skills. This provides valuable insights for educators in developing learning strategies.</p><p> </p><p>Kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan representasi matematis adalah keterampilan kunci bagi siswa di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama. Meskipun penting, menemukan metode pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan ini sering kali menantang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas model pembelajaran <em>make a match</em> dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan representasi matematis di kalangan siswa SMP. Menggunakan metode quasi eksperimen, penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Mesuji Raya. Target populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII, dengan sampel sejumlah 42 siswa yang dipilih melalui cluster random sampling. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan Uji Manova dengan tingkat signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa H0AB ditolak, mengindikasikan bahwa model pembelajaran Make A Match berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan representasi matematis siswa.
