Electronic Filing

Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika (Kudus) uses an electronic manuscript submission and editorial management process to facilitate the submission, assessment, peer review, revision, and publication of scholarly manuscripts. Authors are required to submit their manuscripts and the supporting information requested by the journal through its designated online submission system.
The journal's electronic submission procedures are intended to promote transparency, completeness, efficiency, and accountability throughout the editorial process. These procedures are consistent with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidance that journals should establish appropriate editorial infrastructure and electronic submission systems that collect the information necessary for responsible manuscript handling without imposing unnecessary complexity. See the COPE Guidelines: A Short Guide to Ethical Editing for New Editors.

1. Electronic Submission Requirements

Authors must submit their manuscripts through the official electronic submission system of Jurnal Ekonomi Indonesia. Submissions sent through alternative channels may be considered only when explicitly authorized by the editorial office.
Before completing a submission, authors must ensure that all required files and declarations have been prepared in accordance with the journal's Author Guidelines. Depending on the manuscript and the journal's requirements, the submission may include:
  • The complete manuscript in the required editable file format.
  • Tables, figures, appendices, and supplementary materials, where applicable.
  • Author names, institutional affiliations, and corresponding author contact details.
  • An Author Contributions Statement identifying the contributions of each author.
  • Funding information and declarations of competing interests.
  • Permissions for copyrighted material reproduced or adapted from other sources, where applicable.
  • Ethics approval and informed consent information, where applicable.
  • Other declarations or supporting documents specifically requested by the editorial office.
COPE recommends that electronic submission systems collect relevant information such as authorship declarations, funding details, competing interests, permissions for copyrighted material, and confirmation that the manuscript is not simultaneously submitted to another journal. See the COPE Guidelines on Ethical Editing.

2. Manuscript File Preparation

Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the journal's formatting requirements, manuscript structure, reference style, and applicable technical instructions. Authors should ensure that all text, tables, figures, equations, references, and supplementary files are complete, legible, and consistent with the information presented in the manuscript.
Files must be uploaded to the appropriate fields in the electronic submission system. Authors should verify that the uploaded documents open correctly and correspond to the intended submission. Any revised manuscript must be submitted through the relevant revision workflow so that the editorial office can identify the current version.
Where the journal uses anonymized peer review, authors must follow the journal's instructions for preparing the manuscript and separate identifying information to support the applicable review process. See the COPE guidance on editorial processes and manuscript submission management.

3. Author Declarations and Submission Confirmation

By submitting a manuscript electronically, the corresponding author confirms that the submission complies with the journal's Author Guidelines and publication ethics policies. The corresponding author must ensure that all listed authors have approved the manuscript and agreed to its submission.
The corresponding author must also confirm, where applicable, that the manuscript is original, has not been published previously in a form that constitutes duplicate publication, and is not under consideration by another journal. Any related manuscripts, overlapping publications, or relevant prior submissions must be disclosed to the editorial office.
Authors must provide accurate authorship information, funding declarations, competing interest statements, and permissions for third-party materials when required. These requirements reflect COPE's recommendations that journals obtain appropriate author declarations and confirm that submissions are not simultaneously under consideration elsewhere. See the COPE Guidelines: A Short Guide to Ethical Editing for New Editors.

4. File Verification and Editorial Screening

After electronic submission, the editorial office may conduct an initial verification to determine whether the required files, author information, declarations, and other submission elements have been provided.
If a submission is incomplete, unreadable, incorrectly formatted, or missing required information, the editorial office may request corrections or additional documentation before proceeding with editorial assessment.
Completion of the electronic submission process does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Manuscripts remain subject to editorial screening, assessment of suitability for the journal's scope, and peer review in accordance with the journal's editorial policies.
COPE emphasizes the importance of a well-described and appropriately implemented editorial infrastructure, including clear submission procedures and policies for managing manuscripts. See the COPE Journal Audit.

5. Confidentiality and File Security

Manuscripts and associated files submitted to Jurnal Ekonomi Indonesia are handled confidentially throughout the editorial process. Access to submitted materials should be limited to individuals who require the information to perform their editorial, peer review, publishing, or authorized administrative responsibilities.
Editors and reviewers must not use unpublished information obtained through manuscript handling or peer review for personal advantage or disclose confidential manuscript content without appropriate authorization.
The journal's electronic submission infrastructure should be appropriately maintained, with reasonable measures to protect submitted files and associated information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These provisions are consistent with COPE's emphasis on confidentiality in peer review and secure, properly maintained journal infrastructure. See the COPE Guidelines on Ethical Editing and the COPE Ethics Toolkit for Journal Editors and Publishers.

6. Revised Manuscripts and Additional Files

When revisions are requested, authors must submit the revised manuscript and any accompanying response to reviewers through the electronic system within the deadline specified by the editorial office.
The response to reviewers should address each comment clearly and indicate the revisions made to the manuscript. If an author disagrees with a reviewer comment, the response should provide a reasoned academic explanation.
Authors must ensure that the revised files represent the intended version of the manuscript and that any changes to authorship, declarations, or supporting materials are communicated to the editorial office. Changes to authorship must follow the journal's authorship policy and require the agreement of the authors concerned.

7. Responsibility for Submitted Information

Authors are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and authenticity of all information and files submitted electronically. This includes author identities, affiliations, manuscript content, research data, references, declarations, and supplementary materials.
Submitting inaccurate information, falsified documents, misleading declarations, or materials that violate publication ethics requirements may result in requests for clarification, suspension of editorial processing, rejection of the manuscript, or further action in accordance with the journal's policies.
Concerns involving suspected publication misconduct will be assessed in accordance with the journal's publication ethics procedures and relevant COPE guidance and resources.

8. Technical Problems and Editorial Assistance

If authors encounter technical difficulties with the electronic submission system, they should contact the journal's editorial office through the official contact details provided on the journal website. Authors should clearly describe the issue and provide relevant submission information, without sending confidential credentials or passwords.
Where technical assistance is necessary, the editorial office may provide instructions for resolving the problem or authorize an alternative submission arrangement. Any alternative procedure must preserve the integrity, confidentiality, and traceability of the submission process.
