Correction and Retraction Policy

Fikrah: Jurnal Ilmu Aqidah dan Studi Keagamaan is committed to maintaining the accuracy, transparency, and integrity of the scholarly record. Corrections and retractions are handled in accordance with publication ethics standards and the nature of the identified issue.

1. Erratum

An erratum is issued to correct errors or omissions in a published article that do not require retraction. The correction notice will describe the error and the necessary changes. The original article will remain accessible, and the erratum will be linked to the article to ensure transparency.

2. Retraction

A retraction is issued when a published article is found to contain seriously unreliable findings or arguments, plagiarism, duplicate publication, research misconduct, or other substantial violations of publication ethics. Differences in scholarly interpretation or opinion alone do not constitute grounds for retraction.

Retracted articles will remain accessible in the journal archive but will be clearly marked as retracted. A retraction notice explaining the reasons will be published and linked to the original article.

3. Publisher's Note

A Publisher's Note is issued to address significant errors arising from the journal's editorial or production process, including errors in article metadata or publication details. Where necessary, the article may be corrected or replaced with a revised version, with the changes documented transparently. Minor typographical errors that do not affect scholarly content may be corrected without a separate notice.

4. Editorial Responsibility

The Editor-in-Chief and Editorial Team are responsible for evaluating reported errors and determining the appropriate action. Decisions are based on available evidence, the significance of the issue, and applicable publication ethics standards. Relevant authors may be contacted for clarification, and all formal notices will be linked to the affected article.

This policy follows established scholarly publishing practices, including relevant guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), to safeguard the integrity of Fikrah's published content.
