Authorship Criteria
Authorship Criteria
Hermeneutik: Jurnal Ilmu al-Qur'an dan Tafsir adheres to the authorship criteria established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) to promote transparency, academic integrity, and accountability in scholarly publishing, particularly in the fields of Qur'anic Studies, Tafsir, and related interdisciplinary approaches. To qualify as an author, an individual must meet all four of the following criteria:
- Substantial Contribution: Make substantial contributions to the conception or design of the research, or to the collection, analysis, or interpretation of research data, Qur'anic texts, tafsir literature, and other relevant scholarly sources.
- Manuscript Preparation: Participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for significant intellectual content and scholarly arguments.
- Final Approval: Review and approve the final version of the manuscript before publication.
- Accountability: Agree to be accountable for all aspects of the research and ensure that any questions concerning the accuracy, originality, or integrity of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
All listed authors must fulfill these four criteria and take responsibility for their respective contributions. Individuals who provide technical assistance, language editing, administrative support, research funding, or other contributions without meeting all four criteria should be acknowledged in the Acknowledgments section rather than listed as authors.
The journal does not permit unethical authorship practices, including gift authorship, guest authorship, and ghost authorship. Any addition, removal, or change in the order of authors must be approved by all authors and communicated to the editorial team.
By submitting a manuscript to Hermeneutik: Jurnal Ilmu al-Qur'an dan Tafsir, all authors confirm that they meet the established authorship criteria and agree to uphold the principles of academic integrity, research ethics, and responsible scholarly publishing.
